And into Kings...

Poor Rose was admitted to Kings last night with febrile neutropenia which we knew was a distinct possibility but was still a shock when it happened - a 'normal' Sunday suddenly became fraught with temperature taking waiting for it to reach the level at which we were told to get her to Kings as soon as possible. And sure enough it reached it and with Rose crying and us a bit disbelieving we were off - she is now in isolation on IV antibiotics and really really fed up. Kings at least nearer home than the Marsden so we can drag Felix in to cheer her up today!

She is becoming such an expert on hospital life as we all are - and in seconds she weighs up the facilities, ward, room, TV, bathrooms, what the nurses are like etc. The TV she is totally disgusted with as it has 5 channels and withdrawal from cbeebies set in immediately! The nearest loo is about a mile down the corridor which doesn't really make much sense since she has been put in isolation! Hoping the anti biotics do their job quickly and she gets the weekend at home before going back to the Marsden.
